A sketch of the fearsome Cyclops. A tribute to the great Mr Ray Harryhausen RIP :(
I used to watch Sinbad, Jason and the Argonauts and Clash of the Titans and as soon as they had finished try and draw the incredible monsters from memory. A lot of the drawings looked just like this one.
A true and proper inspiration. x

Heres a lovely interview with me on the Gola website written by the lovely Peony Gent. X

Hello all. A couple of years ago I was asked by the family of Mrs Pamela Page to illustrate one of Pamala’s stories for a children’s book as a surprise birthday present.

The story ‘The Big Hairy Spider’ was a short tale Pamela used to tell her family when they were all growing up. Pamela really loved the book and they decided to print some more copies and sell them for charity.

I’m very pleased to announce that ‘The Big Hairy Spider’ can now be bought online via Pamela’s daughter Andrea. If you want a copy email her on andrea@marksweb.org.uk
All proceeds go to the Special Care Baby Unit in a London hospital.

Heres a few pages from the book….

Cheers

Hey check out this great illustration project created by the students of my old Middle School Robert Bruce Middle School. The project was inspired by some of my creature’s and animal illustrations and I get to judge the best ones. Amazing. : )

just drew this. Thought I would share.

Coming sooooooooooooon……:)
Here is a very small excerpt from the book written by the incredibly gifted chap Chester Travis and illustrated by me x…..
My name is Brendan, I blend in,
To every wall, to everything.
My skin will change its shapes and hue,
To fit the stuff I’m stood next to.
And the things I’m stood behind,
Or in front of! Or combined!
At home, at school or Grandma’s house,
I’m part of chairs or Grandma’s blouse.
I’m part of tables, part of ceilings
Part of paint on doors unpeeling!
To you I’m sure it sounds like bliss,
To have a talent such as this,
But let me ask you while you’re here,
Why you’d want to disappear?
It’s not what it’s cracked up to be,
I tell you, since my infancy,
That all it brings is harsh despair,
When no one sees you standing there.
